You can use these modules to set the hierarchical access rights for certain parts of your website, per user: viewing the structure, reading, adjusting, adding, removing, managing. Negative access rights are also possible, whereby you ensure a refined access structure. In combination with the User groups module, you can extend the access rights of individual users to user groups.
Example:
As the administrator, you give all users the right "to read" this web page with instructions, except for normal users: they will receive the negative right "non-structural viewing". Your customers and your staff can consult and download the instructions whereas normal users of the website will not see that this page exists. You give one of your staff (or via the User groups module, the "product developers" group) the right to "adjust" this page. This employee (or group of employees) can maintain the instructions and keep them up-to-date.
